Exams & Cleanings

Regular exams and cleanings help keep your teeth healthy and can prevent tooth decay or cavities. We recommend that otherwise healthy patients schedule a cleaning every six months. Our friendly team will give your teeth a thorough cleaning and polish, as well as check for other dental problems so we can catch them early.

Porcelain Crowns & Bridges

If you need to fix a broken or missing tooth, porcelain crowns or bridges are a great option. Crowns are placed over existing tooth structure and can restore the function to a tooth that is cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged. If you’re missing a tooth (or several teeth) we can craft a bridge, which is made from several crowns fused together, to fill the gap and return your smile to normal. Crowns are durable, long-lasting, and can be made in the size, shape, and shade of your choice.

Porcelain Inlays & Onlays

Sometimes, a cavity is too big for a traditional composite dental filling, but not so big that we have to go ahead and put a crown on the tooth. That’s where inlays and onlays come in. Made from the same sturdy porcelain as crowns, inlays and onlays fill in big cavities, protecting your teeth from further harm while helping them to function normally.

Tooth Extractions

If a tooth is beyond repair, we may need to go ahead and take it out. Our team specializes in dental surgical procedures, including extractions, and uses a combination of skill, cutting-edge technology, and gentle presence to help you feel safer and more comfortable during the process. Your well-being is our top concern, and we encourage you to talk with us if you feel nervous or hesitant about getting the care you need.

Dentures

Dentures are removable dental appliances designed to replace missing teeth and restore the appearance and functionality of your smile. They can be partial (replacing a few missing teeth along the dental arch) or complete (replacing all the teeth along the dental arch).

Dentures are custom-made to fit your mouth comfortably and closely resemble the appearance of natural teeth. Modern dentures are made from high-quality materials, making them more comfortable and natural-looking than ever before! Our team at Blue Ridge Dentistry will work closely with you to ensure your dentures fit well and provide the support and function you need.

Sealants

Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of your back teeth (molars) to prevent tooth decay and cavities. They act as a barrier against plaque, bacteria, and food particles, particularly in the deep grooves and fissures of the molars. Sealants are an effective preventive measure, especially for children and teenagers, who are more prone to cavities.

The application process is quick and comfortable, and sealants can last for several years with proper care. Regular dental check-ups will help ensure your sealants remain intact and continue to protect your teeth.

Fluoride

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps strengthen tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay. It is an essential component of oral health care and can be found in many dental products, such as toothpaste and mouthwash, as well as in some community water supplies.

At Blue Ridge Dentistry, we offer professional fluoride treatments to provide an extra layer of protection for your teeth, especially for those who may be at a higher risk of developing cavities. The treatment is quick, non-invasive, and can be easily incorporated into your routine dental visit, ensuring your teeth stay strong and healthy.
